In the beginning, Matt and Posvar wanted to create xApes because of shared interests, and commonalities in how and why they created their original Projects: xPunks and RxApes - it seemed obvious to do 'something' because between Paul, Matt, Posvar, and Florian we have the ability to do great things.

However several months and a butt-load of hours into creating Rx Apes with xPunk traits; something kept feeling "off" to Matt. This world of Web3 that we've created where everything is a copy, of a copy, of a copy and most of those copies are Apes (heck, we'll hold our hands up and say it, do we need more Apes that look kinda like Bored Apes?).

To cut a long-winded explanation down, there needed to be a reason why xPunks had become xApes. This story will be a commentary, and an exploration of ideas centered around what it means to be a Punk. That is the foundation of Expansion Comic. The Crisis in the Amberverse? It's an Existential one.

Finally thanks to the Guidance of Paff, the CMO for xPunks, we're working on cross-community collaborations, exclusive web3 experiences, and IRL collectibles.

This Expansion Comic(artwork and story) is produced in its entirety by Mattylaboosh. The artwork, art style, and narrative come from those wonderfully, wet, squishy brains.

The Contract for this Comic is more than likely another first of its kind made by Paul aka @renshawdev, he has created something truly clever allowing for the minting of Issues, Pages, and Subscriptions, using clever Token Gating to make this an xPunks exclusive mintable project.

You can subscribe to the Whole Comic by minting the Front Cover at 0.0313 Eth, with a total supply of 100 Front Covers.

Holders of the Front Cover will be able to Mint all Pages of the Comic (with a minimum of 10 pages, but let's face it Matt's probably gonna go overboard and hit 30 pages easily) at no extra cost (you will have to pay gas).

Holders of the Front Cover will also have the exclusive ability to claim a physically printed comic (once it's finished).

Other Pages of the Comic will also be mintable, in most cases, minting one of these Pages is solely for the collecting of the Artwork. However as mentioned above, we're collaborating and using the tools of web3 and community to make it so that some Pages give exclusive access to events, products, or experiences.
